Dental Crown & Bridge Therapy in Windsor

Dental restorations shouldn’t be noticeable in your smile -- in fact, they should look just like your natural teeth. Crowns and bridges are two ways we restore teeth back to good health and beauty. With CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics), you can have crown treatments completed in just one visit.

Dental Crowns

A dental crown is a thin, tooth-shaped cap that fits directly over a damaged tooth. Sturdy and natural-looking, crowns perform the following functions in the front or back teeth:

  • Holding together parts of a broken or damaged tooth
  • Restoring tooth decay when there is not enough tooth structure for a filling
  • Improving the shape or overall appearance of an imperfect tooth
  • Attaching to a dental implant to replace a single missing tooth

Dental Bridges

A dental bridge works just like its name suggests -- by creating a tooth-shaped bridge over the gap left by one or more missing teeth. With two crowns placed on the neighboring natural teeth, a bridge is made of prosthetic teeth that fill in the space between. It is cemented onto these neighboring teeth, so you do not need to remove it at night. There are special types of floss and brushes to help you clean around your bridge. With this cemented in place, your ability to eat, speak, and smile is restored.
