Why should I visit the dentist twice a year?
We are big proponents of preventative dentistry so your smile can remain naturally healthy. Visiting the dentist every six months for professional cleanings and examinations ensures that any problems or conditions arising in your mouth are diagnosed and treated early. Left undiscovered, dental issues can become more costly and detrimental to your overall health.
Can I replace an individual missing tooth?
Absolutely. Our office offers both dental implants and permanently cemented bridges as options for replacing a missing tooth. Both options are natural looking, long term solutions.
What is periodontal disease?
Periodontal disease (aka: gum disease) is a chronic inflammation and infection of the gum tissue. It also affects the bone underlying the gum tissue. When this condition is left untreated, bone loss occurs and eventually teeth will become loose. It can also have harmful systemic effects, like increased risk of heart disease, stroke, and premature births. Regular oral hygiene habits (like brushing and flossing) will keep your gums healthy, and routine checkups will give us a chance to check your gums for any signs of periodontal disease starting.
What are dental implants?
A Dental implant is a small, titanium screw that replaces the root structure of a missing tooth. The screw is implanted into the bone below the gum so it can integrate, just like a knee or hip replacement would. This screw provides the support for a dental crown which replaces a missing tooth.
Even though the whole process takes about 5-6 months to be completed, it is not a painful one. The initial placement of the implant screw is the only time when there are a few days of discomfort while the gum heals.
Can I bring my family?
We are a family dental practice; this means we are happy to see patients of all ages! Having one office for the whole family is convenient for parents and comforting for kids because they can be treated right alongside their parents and siblings. We have some families that have been coming in for generations, so we see grandma and grandpa too!
Do you take my insurance?
We are happy to help patients make the most of their dental insurance. We accept most insurances.
Do you work with community organizations?
We proudly sponsor, volunteer with, and participate in a number of community charitable organizations such as Alex’s Lemonade Stand, Mary’s Place, the Windsor Chamber of Commerce, Friends of Northwest Park, Windsor Little League, and Fidelco Guide Dogs.
